Location, location, location....
The one major asset that none of the grander, five star hotels in the area can compete with is Side Miami Beach's location. A few minutes walk along the beach-front traffic-free 'promenade' and you are 2000 years back in time in the centre of ancient Side. All the larger hotels of Side are further away, up to 10km further away!
This location is much under-appreciated. First-time visitors to Side are often amazed by the extent and scale of the antiquities in and around central Side and the lack of any access restrictions to them. Yes, the hotel is all of 70m from the beach but this is less than the walk through the grounds to the beach in most larger 'beach-front' hotels. The Side Miami has its own allocated stretch of beach with sun loungers provided free of charge in season.
Four star quality
The refurbishment has created a modern, high-quality hotel with a quality and amenities that rival some five-star hotels I have stayed in on the Antalya coast. My room, 301, is in the main building on the top floor with a sea view and is one of the largest hotel rooms I have stayed in in recent years. There is ample storage, provided toiletries, satellite TV, individual air conditioning (which as also as heating this time of year) telephone and mini-bar (empty but cheaply stocked from the nearby Migros Jet supermarket - turn left out of the hotel, take the first right and Migros is at the end of this road on the main dual carriageway).
The maid service is daily with towels changed and toiletries replenished everyday. I am not sure how often the bedding is changed but always appears immaculate, as does the whole room, after the daily servicing.
Tasty Turkish 'Home Cooking'
I know some guests miss their own food but when in Turkey, I prefer the authentic Turkish experience and nowhere is this more evident that in the restaurant of the Side Miami Beach. There is always a great selection of salad and always cooked vegetables and at least one meat dish - even when there were just around 20 guests in the hotel before Christmas. Traditional honey-based Turkish sweets are ever-present too. If you like Turkish food, you will love the Side Miami Beach.
All-inclusive Drinks
The included drinks are necessarily limited but it is perfectly respectable choice: beer, drinkable red and white wine, soft drinks (orangeade, cola, sprite, lemonade), vodka, gin, raki, self-service coffee, hot chocolate, 'English', Turkish and herbal teas and a help-yourself fridge of bottles of water, still and fizzy. Fresh bottles are opened in front of you - not refilled as they are at many all-inclusive hotels. Overall impressive.
The Side Miami Beach is impossible to fault given the bargain rates.
My last review of this hotel was headlined 'a miracle of value'. I am happy to report that it remains so and have zero reservation in recommending this absolute gem of a hotel.

Cheap hotel, but also very cramped. There is a really narrow part of the beach than belongs to hotel. In advantage, food is very tasty there.

Take my advice and pay a bit more. Hotel is good for the money. The waiter annoyed me by telling me to use a saucer for hot drinks, because he said it makes a mess otherwise. I wasn't impressed.
