Best place to get yourself familiarized with art history of Ukraine. Highlights from medieval icons to nonconformist art from 1960's are on permanent display on 2 floors + there's a diverse programme of new temporary shows on view every 2-3 months

Very interesting place for art people.
Some authors were very interesting.
You can spend 1.5 hour here.
Also, price is cheap.
Only building condition isn't so good.

I didn't like it very much on my first visit, but when I returned, I enjoyed all of the art here immensely. There are many old icons, lots of genre studies from the 19th century, and a strong collection of 20th century modernist art.

Nice place to be. Can join special classes being offered here in relation to drawing & painting. Some of the painting & drawing demonstrated here are master piece. Must to see place if you are interested in Art.
