The biggest and most gorgeous park I've ever seen in the city. Its just made for romantic walks and healthy activities as jogging and yoga. Very relaxing place. Beautiful flowers and nice landscape design. Plus church. You have to pay entrance fee which i think too expensive but if you go for a walk with your beloved one when is getting dark they let you in for free or for few fee, which is good. I normally walk my dog at nights there, before closing. You can find hedgehogs and squirrels there :) Just made for walks with kids and family time spending. At summer people take suntan :)

A wonderful place at any time of a year! must visit for locals and travelers. for those who like civilized parks - many options where to walk, for those who want to get lost - many forests around. there are some hills from where you can observe the whole Kyiv along with the bridges, river, left bank, and the monastary on the hill. amazing place to relax and run away from big city life. i like it even more in autumn and winter when not so many people are coming. the closest metro - Druzhby Narodiv (green line), also bus 62 from Podil, or trolleybus 14 from railway station.
Sometimes I even take there travelers during my Awesome Kyiv Walking Tours

A great Georgian festival was held in the garden, good food, great wine and super folk music. Fantastic setting for the festival.

Just a park - not a botanical garden. First time here, in 1988, i was dissapointed. This time even more. No signs about plant species. On some bushes there is a sign that this should be Crimea, that hill Carpaths, that walley Far East. In fact everything is mixed, lots of immigrant plants, no system at all. Nothing to learn. This is an example of a botanical garden that should not try to be one.

It's actually a nice place to visit, especially during spring and blossoming. The territory is vast but poorly organized. Big portion taken by Russian church. There is admission fee, very moderate but frankly not so much in return for those money. There are no caffes, shops, snacks or even water to drink. Nice nature but shame how badly it is managed.
