We were so happy with our stay here. We were warmly welcomed, our room (and modern bathroom with big bathtub!) was probably the most comfortable of our journey, and if we hadn't fallen asleep so early, we could have had a great night snacking and drinking from the well-stocked honesty cart in the guest lounge. Breakfast in the morning was delicious too.

Overall nice though a few oddities like heat only on every few hours and bed was poor. Good food. Convenient for linking Hadrian's wall.

My husband and I along with my cousin and her husband stayed in Vallum Lodge for 1 night and it was wonderful. The bathroom and beds great!! One of our nicest B and B's on our tour of Scotland and England. Breakfast was very good and the hostess very accommodating. This Lodge is in the middle of very historic surroundings and there is also a great pub where you get a good dinner among super people.
