A gift from my mother to my wife and I was a spa day, somewhere. After selecting Bath and having a very quick google I settled on the Priory and oh my, what a wonderful experience. Everything from valet parking to the spa and the dining, all were perfect. For this you pay a price, but I’d do it all again.

Initially I was disappointed that the restaurant had recently lost its Michelin Star, as this was the main reason we booked it. But after eating there, I would question why it lost it! The food was excellent, the staff were all great and the facilities were almost perfect!

Great place for lunch and afternoon tea. Try to have a walk around the garden on a nice day (if you have the time). Nice place for a treat and only around the corner from us.

Went for the £98 7 course tasting menu. Creative dishes and very generous portions for this caliber of meal. The souffle was the best I've ever had. Excellent food, excellent service, decent atmosphere. Free parking outside.

Great place to stay. Very exquisitely English styled, with beautiful tea rooms and some of the most stunning English gardens you'll ever find. Very quiet, given the location too. The Spa itself is rather small, but the treatments are fantastic with friendly staff. The only complaints I have for not giving this 5 stars is the service could be a little more teed up. We ordered breakfast one morning, but they completely forgot my wife's breakfast order. There's also no hot tub at the spa, and the indoor pool was a little chilly. But not too picky though. If I could issue a half star I would.
