My and my partner stayed couple weeks back only for one night. Definitely would recommend for short stay.
Good room and facilities. Quite tricky found the parking plus you have to pay extra for that, otherwise all good. Friendly & helpful staff - old-ish lady on reception helped and showed us on the map where to go etc which was very nice of her.
Highly recommend place to stay!!!

Good conference venue. Room is fine for purpose of charging things and sleeping and even watching a bit of telly. Nice apples were available if you like fresh fruit. Good range of hot drinks. Added bonus was access to the gym and swimming pool just around the corner (remember to take a towel though).

Surprisingly nice hotel. Rooms are very spacious and well appointed. Great location close to New Street station. 10min walk. Superb breakfast and the bar area looks comfortable too. The only letdown is the small size of the beds; a double at best. Cozy if sharing. An unexpected bonus if you could call it that, was overhearing insightful coversations through the air vent system. Less nice was overhearing other guests vigorously enjoying each other carnally at 4am. We were tempted to aid their completion by giving encouraging commentary through the same air vents.

In comparison to similar price alternatives, even three star hotels in Birmingham, this place really wasn't all that great. We got told our room was executive, but it was more like a student dormitory, felt small and stuffy. For such a modern building you'd expect some air con facilities or temperature control but there was nothing, the windows open a tiny amount. All that was provided was a little fan, that was very Loud when you're trying to sleep. I could feel it's air but naturally my partner couldn't on the other side of the bed.
Bed wasn't very comfortable, mattress felt cheap. There was 2 ladies on reception, one of them was new and was nervous about serving and charging us correctly, the other lady a lot younger with brunette help then served us instead, compeletly disregarding the older new lady's efforts.. clearly making her feel small and incompetent in front of us as customers. Really unpleasant awkward situation. She was new... no need to be so harsh on her.
