A friend took me to the plough & Harrow Hotel Birmingham for a afternoon tea for my birthday. I was appalled with the service & the afternoon tea was the worst I have ever had!!! The scones were hard, the sandwiches tasteless & a bit limp & the other cakes provided were not much better. The only thing that I was pleased with, was the fact that it was a two for the price of one, but it was still not worth even the price for one. Never again!!!

Lovely hotel, very friendly staff who went out of their way to help. Fab room, very pleasantly surprised at the size and decor. Would definitely stay again. Thank you for looking after us.

Really nice hotel, unfortunately we were woken at 5:30 by a reversing lorry beeping which lasted about 45 minutes and there was no point trying to get back to sleep after when the kids were up. Breakfast was nice with a good selection of hot and cold food and the staff seemed nice. Just a shame about the unwanted wake up call.

This place is terrible! Came here for a wedding and they decided to put 2 new undertrained bar staff on. My pint was so poorly poured it looked like it needed a flake in it and I had to request she poured it again. The wedding party were also unhappy with this. Later in the night I was charged £7.10 for an amaretto and coke! When I pointed out this must be a mistake I was told " this is Birmingham". This is a ridiculous and rude statement; it is cheaper in London. The general manner of the bar manager who told me this was rude and condescending. Never go here unless you want to be spoken to in a terribly unacceptable manner and charged twice a reasonable price.
