Went once years ago. It still haunts my dreams to this day. It's like it was built from the ashes of despair from the bottom of a barrel. Every now and then I awake in a cold sweat after having flashbacks to that night, my wife has to reassure me I'm safe at home and not back there. If there is a hell, this is the portal to it.

Called in for an evening meal, we had the steak pie and vegetables was lovely. Very reasonable price 2 mains and 2 drinks £20 bargain. Also has desert and 2 more drinks £11. 30 so all together £31.30 which we usually spend. Will call again.

Quirky lost-in-time traditional pub, serving good, wholesome home-cooked food, and a fair selection of real ales. The homemade chicken, ham and mushroom pie was delicious. Food portions are not skimpy. Service is friendly, efficient and relaxed. A gem of a find.
