I went there attending a wedding fair. The venue was lovely, and the stall holders at the event were a nicely chosen mix of businesses. We were in the Dome Room, which was really gorgeous!

Rooms are nice, clean and big. Food is great and there's a great selection of alcohol. But if you go at the bar it seems like they don't want your money. They never come see you when you arrive and even after a first drink they rarely seem to care if you want another.

Didn't quite live up to expectations. Given the cost of the room, over £300 per night, there were some (minor) issues that really should have been right. Some examples, the pint of milk in the fridge had 'lumps' and the curtains were behind the bath and very difficult to pull open/close across a metal pole. I can't remember if the room description promised a view but you can see the view from the window in one of the photos. No matter, the window was pretty dirty to see out of anyway. Further, for the cost of the room, one would expect breakfast to be included. On the good side, the room was very quiet and the hotel is nicely positioned for the seafront and the lanes.

We had a meal in the bistro one evening and it was wonderful. The food was gorgeous - my husband had the "Blue and Black Burger" and said it was one of the best burgers he'd ever had. The service is top-notch, friendly but professional, happy to offer recommendations and very attentive. We ate from the set summer menu and it was good value for money.

Would definitely recommend, especially for a special occasion.
