I have been in and out of gyms for most of my adult life. Not sticking to any of them and waiting for my next diet/fitness regime to start...Then I joined Metabolic/Brighton Boot camp in October 2012. I can honestly say it has changed my life. Not only am i leaner and fitter but my love for life and exercise has come back.
Metabolic Solution works for me as I have my sessions in the morning before work, 3x a week (sometimes I stretch to 4!) But every session is different. You should expect to work your butt off at every session and the days you feel you can't give that 100% - Rick and Paul are there to make sure you reach your goals.
Does it get easier? - No & I wouldn't want it too...Because every week I am pushing myself more and increasing my work rate.
Can you achieve your goals with Metabolic? - YES 100% My whole life has changed and it is down to a number of factors...Rick, every week he encourages me to strive for better and push myself. Paul, not only does he teach me the best technique but he pushes me at every level to make a better me. My fellow Boot campers, working together as a team to all push each other. And finally me...Watch this space!

Like a lot of reviewers I had spent time and money going to various gyms but got bored with the same routine so decided to do my own thing, running, cycling and (occasional) swimming but found I didn't have the time to maintain my fitness levels, especially over the winter. A friend recommended Brighton Bootcamp and I had my trial session at the beginning of December (figured I should get some sessions in before Christmas, rather than wait and start in January with all that post Christmas excess still hanging around!). I have now been going for six months and I would say I'm the fittest and lightest I've been for years.
Is it hard work - yes!
Do you sweat - yes, lots (well I do!)
Are you out of breath - yes!
Do you feel sick - occasionally!
But.....
I feel great after each session (well maybe not immediately after, but it's a great feeling walking out at 06:45 into a beautiful sunny day having completed a bootcamp session).
I feel good throughout the day, combined with the right nutrition.
I am fitter.
I am lighter.
Some people tell me I even look better (well my Mum does).
Paul and Rick push you (in a nice way, there's no shouting - well not too much anyway) to push yourself where in a regular gym you'd have just given up. The setup is really good, it's always different (which challenges the grey matter at 6am!) and you get all the benefits of a personal trainer at a fraction of the cost. I haven't trained this hard since pre-season football training and that was quite a few years ago now. Only word of warning....it's addictive, you will want to go every day!

I started a 5 week course in November to help prevent the weight piling on over Christmas and to adopt a better approach to health and fitness in general. I've been a perpetual on off smoker and a yo yo dieter for most of my adult life and really wanted to change. I'm so pleased I took that step and signed up to Brighton Bootcamp. Paul and Rick have been fantastic! Not only have they helped me loose 7cm around my waist (!) on the run up to Christmas, but much more than that, I'm starting to see myself in a different light. Although I've dabbled in various exercise programmes over the years at different gyms and health clubs, Paul and Rick's classes take you to the next level. I've never felt so motivated and inspired to push myself as hard as I have but as a result I've never achieved so much in such a short space of time. It's not only about fitness in the class though, they really help you believe that you can achieve whatever you put your mind too. For example, one of my objectives Paul got out of me on my first consultation was my wish to cycle a long distance (70 - 100 miles) to raise money for a charity in 2012. As it's now 2012, I bought myself a second hand bike last week and this weekend I cycled from Hove to Devils Dyke and back for the first time. I was so chuffed with myself! I know Paul and Rick didn't push me up that hill, but I do know that I wouldn't have even contemplated taking that 1st step towards achieving my goal without attending regular classes with them. Somehow you seem to get brain washed into believing you, your body and mind can do anything! I'm looking forward to seeing what 2012 holds - I know I'll be feeling a lot fitter and healthier than I did in 2011.
