Great service! And more importantly food is served until late hours. I can truly recommend this restaurant

Friendly, hot and tasty are all words that I can use to describe our delightful host for the evening, Matteo(?). The food was excellent, as were his recommendations.
It is my absolute pleasure to announce that Aguadulce has achieved the prestigious and highly coveted 'Nicky 5 Star Stamp Of Excellence'™. Congratulations guys, you fully deserve it... I don't want to put words in your mouth but I expect that it is moments such as these, that make it all worthwhile.
To play devil's advocate, I'd say that the decor isn't particularly noteworthy but in the same vein, it's nothing you'd ever lose any sleep over.
A good acid test is whether you'll return and Aguadulce passes with flying colours.

Truly Spanish food, I can tell because I am Spanish. Properly prepared according to Spanish receipe . Great croquetas and alioli. The staff is friendly and helpful. I'll come back.

Just off the main seafront is Agua Dulce, it looks like any of the other restaurants in that particular area, but if you look closely, there is a difference. The place is packed, no matter what the day. We tried getting a table on Sunday evening and were told there’d be nothing before 10pm, instead we agreed to a lunch booking at 1pm. It may have been quiet when we got there but it filled up quickly.
We opted for tapas, followed by a black squid ink paella for two, shared between the 3 of us. Turns out we ordered the perfect amount of food. Calamari, shark steak, octopus, the seafood was great but completely blown out of the water by the garlic prawns. Meat of black pudding and pork stew, with a single vegetable dish of ratatouille, went down great as well (never had boiled egg on ratatouille, but will be repeating the experience!).
The paella arrived (be aware, it’s a 40 minute wait, these things are done fresh!) and looked beautiful, the black rice mixed with various seafood, with 6 shrimp on top, pink against the dark backdrop. We ate nearly all of it, calling defeat towards the end. The service was attentive and the price not one that would break the bank. We really wanted to return!

Called in here by chance. We were looking at menu outside and inside looked deserted. Some customers were just leaving and said we wouldn't be disappointed. Charming host. Great menu. Oxtail was delicious. Small complaint beer sold in 2/3 of a pint. As anitger review commented music is good but decor unusual. Highly recommended
