Brighton and Hove Streamline Taxis

Booked a taxi over an hour in advance, but forgot to mention the dogs. Called them 7 minutes beforehand and they said they only had 1 car in the area and that this car was willing to take dogs. As it got to 5 minutes before the booking i asked if this car had been despatched to my address and the operator said no. He also implied that it would be a while before I was sent one. I asked if he would let me know in the next 5 minutes if a car had been despatched and he said no. I said I would call again in a few minutes to see if a car was on its way (it was now 2 minutes before the booked time of arrival). I called back 5 minutes later and the operator hung up on me. No car was sent. Total waste of time. So, instead of a lovely Sunday lunch with old friends who had come down especially from London, down the pub, I had to drive and couldn't drink. Thanks. Shan't be using you again.

I have repeatedly given this taxi company a chance to prove me wrong but each time they let me down and don't provide a good service. On at least 2 out of the last four times I've booked a car with them in advance I've been left waiting for 20-40 minutes.
Last night I ordered a taxi half an hour in advance in the hope that it would turn up in time. They did tell
me that there were traffic problems causing delays which of course can't be helped and I was prepared to wait but when I called up 3 minutes before the taxi was due to arrive just to check, I was told that the car hadn't even been requested yet and that the drivers don't get called until 2-5 minutes before the car is due. I asked the controller what is the point then of booking in advance? He had no answer. I'm sorry but this company have had no competition in Brighton so maybe it is time to start using Uber and see if they provide a service that can be relied upon?

Just waited 40 minutes for a taxi which never arrived. Had a taxi from a different company not pulled over when I waved him down I would have been late to collect my own van from a garage which I need for a long distance drive tonight. Would have completely messed my weekend up.

Will use uber next time I need reliability.

The person who answers the phone very rude and pushy, didn't trust to book the taxi after I spoke to him.

Booked a taxi for 7pm, call them up at 7.20 to be told the driver assigned couldn't be arsed with the job and that they hadn't bothered to send another taxi!
