Ladies behind the counter who take appointments are ignorant and rude

I went here about a year ago on an NHS appointment. I wanted to have my wisdom tooth removed. I was told that I can have it removed right away for a horrible price, or I can be referred to an NHS practice (why is this called an NHS dental practice then?). I have also left a CD with my panorama tooth XRay that was taken a week before in a Hungarian dental practice. A week later they started to harass me over the phone that I have to pay the NHS tier-1 fee. All for nothing, I even provided them the X ray image! Once they threatened me with debt collection I decided to pay. About 8 months later I received a letter from the University of Bristol Dental Hospital with an appointment for my dental surgery. I have decided not to be the guinea pig and that I'd do it in Hungary. The surgery was 3 days ago, it was quick and painless, I had minimal swelling and I'm completely fine now. The damage this time was only about £120 which included a fresh X Ray. The name of the dental practice in Budapest is Móricz Dent, they speak fluent English, German and French and they were always attentive and helpful.

Idiot receptioninsts and seemingly impossible to book an appointment. Decided life was too short to deal with them ...

Absolutely shocking pricing. Registered as a new patient at this private practice (no practices anywhere near me currently taking on NHS patients) only wanting to have a scale and polish and was forced to instead have a new patient check up (fine, understandable - though appalled that allegedly no dental practices request dental records from previous dentist to have an accurate history to hand), which I was told at the time of booking was £85 and included a clean. At the appointment I see that the price list states that all new patient exams include two x-rays - good. During appointment the dentist (who did a fine job - no issue with his skills) checked my teeth, then proceeded to do a clean.

I get downstairs to pay and find they are trying to charge me initially £135 until they realised their own pricing includes the x-rays. Then £110 because of the cleaning I had been told would be included in a new patient exam and that the dentist himself had not stated explicitly before he went diving in would incur additional cost. Nurse on reception tried justifying the cost of a new patient exam by saying they have to note every tooth, whereas in a normal check up (£25) they only check each tooth - they don't have to add a note beside each one. Laughable charging that much for minor additional note taking (which the nurse does at the time - it's not like the dentist has to take additional time out of the appointment to make these notes). But my outrage at the way this practice conducts business is how I was misled into thinking a clean (which was all I wanted as someone with no previous dental issues and a significant dental record history confirming that if they had bothered to request it) was included in the new patient exam (too right if you are going to charge me £85 in the first place for just probing my mouth for five minutes), and that the dentist did not explicitly say BEFORE starting a clean that it would incur an additional cost and so did I want him to proceed.

Have unregistered as a patient, which I am sure is no skin off their nose as a business, but it is still unfair and unjust how they charged me. Given the limited number of practices currently taking on NHS patients this leaves me with no dentist for the foreseeable future.
