Always been good for us

Efficient, friendly and well organised. Was sorry to leave when I moved house.

Staff are friendly and doctors are fine, I understand sometimes they can be overwhelmed with the amount of people they have to deal with each day, so there are obviously longer waiting times unfortunately.

I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment and checked in at the desk. All ok. Still sat waiting for my appointment 30 minutes after the scheduled time. Not once was I told that the doctor was running late. Appalling as some of us only have short time frames to have appointments in our work schedule and god knows appointments are scarce so you take the first one you can get! If only I had been informed the doctor was running late I could of possibly rescheduled instead of having to ask and find out myself. Just a little bit of diligence would have been nice. And no apology when I mentioned it either!

My experience over the phone today was awful. I was treated in the most condescending way possible, by someone who's supposed to make you feel better.
I don't know if there's any competition with doctor's around Europe, but when I announced that I visited a gynaecologist whilst in Italy, the person I was talking to sounded overly surprised, if not offended.
They also were quite rude when I let them know that I didn't need a blood test, as I had one whilst in Italy as well.
"We don't do blood tests", okay, I didn't know that. When you start taking birth control in Italy, that's what they do!
I've lived away from home since I was 17 and it's hard to manage everything at the same time. When I have a health problem I wish to be helped, not treated in the most patronising way possible. I don't know very well how the medical system works in the UK so I don't think it's necessary to treat me as if I'm less of you.
I didn't say anything whilst on the phone because I really need this appointment and didn't want to cause any trouble .
I have never had this type of experience, my GP is lovely and many of the nurses are, too.
I won't address who I was talking to, as my intent is not to put bad lights on specific people. I just want to make a statement.
