Changing rooms absolutely stink, have done for months, nobody seems to be able to put weights away, good range of equipment, love the TRX rig and new punch bags.

I joined the gym at a makeshift office down the road 3 years ago, whilst it was still being built. I went back to cancel a few days later as I decided to stick with my current gym. An employee gave me an email address to contact - which I did and thought nothing else of it.
3 years down the line I realise they're taking payments (fair enough, I should have noticed sooner but when Googling Harlands I believed they took payments for my car). Now they are asking me to pay an extra £45 to cancel. Even though I never ever heard from them, not even with details to access the gym.
No one cares to deal with my complaint and no one is treating me like a human, literally just a bunch of crooks.

They scammed me at the student Fresher's Fair.

After informing him of the location of my residence, the representative at the Xercise4Less booth assured me that: 1) the first month was free (trial month), 2) I could cancel my membership 30 days prior to my next payment (by month), and 3) the gym was 15 minutes away by foot. After discovering the next day that it was actually 50 minutes away by bus, I called the gym, explained my situation, and was told that I was only able to cancel my membership online at least a week after my subscription. When I was unable to 7+ days later, I called the gym again, and was informed that my cancellation period had ended, and I was stuck in a 12 month contract. Turns out, the two employees had informed me of the terms of a different contract, which I was not a part of. In addition, the general manager was unapologetic & apathetic.

I am now charged £12 a month, for 11 months, by a gym that I do not have the time, effort and money to use.

If you haven't already noticed, many of these 1 star reviews demonstrate that these guys are morally corrupt, and will do anything to trap you into paying them - long term. Save yourself the physical and emotional effort and find another gym.

After 1 year of membership they send me an offer. From 15£ monthly, to 12£. Of course, I said yes. After a few months I'd checked my bank app. I had two direct debits to harlands. One of 15, one of 12. The manager told me that it had happend because I didn't cancelled my first membership when I signed the new one and they can't give me back what I overpaid to them. What's the point of having two membership on the gym? Plus, nobody told me that I have to cancel my first membership. This is mad.

I rang in to ask an question about my membership because I work early to late hours work week days and week end and I told the lady all about it and she recommended me to keep paying if am not even using it there is no solution am still in my first month also she hanged up on me because I asked her the questions about my gym membership.

This is extremely rude towards the gym users because they meant to help us out not be rude towards us.

Am leaving ASAP because my friend recommended me but I regret joining back in again
