All very average. But we tipped our waiter when we arrived and any issues, he sorted them instantly.
It was strangely quiet for a Friday night.

The toilets are always dirty also I am a regular and went to the bar on Saturday 15/06/2014 and sat outside on one of the benches & tables with a friend and we bought numerous drinks, at one point I went inside to buy us more drinks and to use the toilet. I was told by a security guy who was now standing at the entrance door that I could not go in unless I paid a £1.00, I was told it was for charity. I did not have free pounds to give away and explained that I had been sitting outside with a friend and that I just needed to use the toilet. I was just told that I had to pay £1.00 in order to get in, no further explanation or willingness to talk to the manager. I have over 6 years experience in the security industry and have never come across such bad treatment and customer service.
A lot of my friends go there and I have now told them about my experience and they agreed that I was treated badly and that they will not go there anymore as well.

If you are going to the Roo Bar, it's more than likely that you are looking to watch a sporting occasion - for which the place is good. If you are in a large group, or are going to watch the rugby, the Roo Bar is one of the larger bars along that stretch of Whiteladies. All in all, a fairly typical Aussie themed bar if you are looking for an averagely priced pint of Fosters...

As the name implies, this is now decorated to an Australian theme - an Australian sports bar. The food is well cooked and well priced although not a foodie bar. If you like somewhere packed to watch the rugby with mates then this is the place for you. Service is quick and friendly and the beers are cold - about as Australian as you get in Bristol...
