Lovely hotel staff are very good nothing to much for them they have a concierge to park your car for you as the at park is small also the bags carried up to the room we were overlooking the Abby gardens and and could see the cathedral from our room it was lovely! The room was clan and spacious they also offer a turn down service which was nice ! I can recommend this hotel 😊

Overall a nice place to stay. Looked like half the hotel rooms had been recently renovated. The room was a good size. Plenty of fast flowing hot water for a bath. The hotel and rooms were nice and clean. Bed was just right for firm and softness. No air conditioning so we had the window open which meant some noise from outside. My son stayed at the back of the hotel and they had a different experience. Delivery people were VERY noisy, they left engines running, talking load and rolling carts down the cobbled floor. Although parking was limited when the hotel is full, they managed very well. We were staying as part of a large wedding group. Breakfast when the hotel is busy was not great. They struggle to prepare food on time. The quality of the food definately can be improved due mainly to them being under staffed in kitchen/front of house. I would stay there again but probably have breakfast in one of the many other coffee/breakfast shops nearby.

Beautiful hotel with lovely rooms, very comfy beds and helpful staff. Staff park the cars away from the traffic wardens too, always useful :-) Would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone staying in Bury St Edmund. Lovely view of The Abbey Gate from the front of the hotel too

Lovely night spent at The Angel hotel. Would've been 5 stars, but the hotel room was a bit dated and didn't match the quality of the rest of the hotel. The food was first class, the bar very cool and the service was quick, friendly and helpful

I was told it was an amazing hotel but it felt very average to me. Slow and forgetful room service. Seems like a lot of money was spent on the foyer to make it contemporary but the rooms need a lot of attention.
Having said that my room was very bright with large sash windows and a beautiful view and the bed was very comfortable.
