Under new management and hugely impressed. We were staying at the nearby Ickworth Hotel and took a punt on this. We ended up going 3 times in a week. The pub is tastefully decorated, the welcome is very friendly, with a great selection of beers on tap, and the food is some of the best (and moat reasonably priced) pub food I've had in a long time. The pizzas in particular are unlike any other I've had. Huge respect for Christian and Hannah who have done something special with this place...

UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT - JUNE 2016
Under the new management, I have found the pub to be fantastic!
Returning to the traditional country pub with a friendly local atmosphere.
The new land-lady has a fantastic outgoing personality with a warm heart and friendly welcome, along with her mum helping on the side and in the kitchen, whom also has a caring nature and a passion for serving good food.
The food is basic ''pub grub'' whilst the menu and kitchen team are in development, but what is available are family favourites; served in large portions and cooked spot-on.
Over the past couple weeks of visiting, more activities are being planned for family fun days and evenings, quiz nights and much more...
This is going to become the cherished treasure of the village once again! :)
