Food was out of this world, not cheap but food is well worth it, drinks unfortunately, although good are over-priced. Would recommend to anyone who wants a treat or for a special occasion.

Fantastic meal.I had the oxtail and my friend had the venison.Both were cooked to perfection .The staff are delightful-informative, friendly and funny.
I can't fault our meal -I'll definitely be back.

Very charming unassuming little restaurant. Delicious vegetarian option. If I had to be picky I would ask for more veggie options.

Great meal last night - the team as always welcoming and attentive. The food was wonderful - empty plates returned to the kitchen says it all, I think! Can't wait for the next time

This restaurant was hard to fault and I think we are difficult to please. Our meal cost around £36pp with only a couple of drinks but this price tag has been the most Value For Money I can honestly say we have had recently. From the outset the curtained entrance, cosy well, appointed interior welcomed you like an old friend. Friendly, professional yet personal service only enhanced the ambience. We had a slow start to service but forgiven once drinks ordered as it was fully booked. From there on in we were charmed by the staff and salivating at both the variety and the ethos of the menu. I think I would have been happy to order everything on there, making it a very hard choice. A surprise, little 'extra' dish always pleases too. Flavours were delightful, complimented each other well, presentation was pleasing to the eye and each plate was practically licked clean. We were particularly impressed by the Lamb sweetbreads and the Onglet Steak cooked in 'Bertha'. We came away very satisfied and wouldn't hesitate to go back or recommend the place to others. A must.
