Had a few drinks and meals here since moving to the area. Must admit I can't fault it. The food and service has been lovely. Great value too. The gammon, egg and chips was so big my friend couldn't finish it... That's saying something. Highly recommend.

Great community pub in the middle of Cheltenham's tertiary shopping area. Large garden...children and dogs welcome.Outdoor pizza oven...and a large range of food from bar snacks to fine dining. Good range of local and guest real ales...adopted hostelry of the British Ukulele Society during their springtime jamboree in Cheltenham. The nation needs more pubs like this!

The other evening I watched a member of staff I believe is the manager insult a customer who had been quietly sitting with her husband. It was very shocking. I can only assume he was drunk or something. Everyone in the bar was horrified. Also when my friend, her 9 year old son and I were eating Sunday lunch we were playing eye spy. We were not loud, he was sitting nicely. A staff member came to clear our plates saying "Just so you know kids have to behave here" We were gob smacked he wasn't behaving badly at all. It was so embarrassing. So unpleasant even the child didn't want to stay for pudding!! Something should be done about the manager here, the staff seem to enjoy being rude to customers!

Nice friendly pub with large beer garden. Food is fairly standard pub grub in terms of both choice and quality, but it is priced accordingly. Staff are generally friendly and helpful.
