The Cross Keys appears to have stopped trading. It's been shut for a few weeks. Maybe it will reopen? It was a fine local pub so it would be a shame to lose it permanently.

Excellent pub great real ales friendly crowd well worth a look live music some Saturday's and quiz night Wednesday's . This is the best pub in north road it's an old fashion pub which is a free house not a big chain of capitalist organization's

I wouldn’t even drink here if the drink was free…
Why has the other person rated it 5stars? He reviewed the wrong pub - Helen and Mark run the 'The Codrington Arms' which is just 2 mins up the road; more expensive, but much, MUCH better food and banter.
If you’re on a budget, the ‘2 for 1’ pub, 'The Fox' (just around the corner) is much friendlier.
Cross Keys has lots of swearing from both staff and punters, so definitely not the place to take the family (might be good if you want a fight though).
The landlord is unbelievably rude, probably why no one wants to drink there anymore. I run a business in the local area and can’t believe how new customers are treated, esp in these hard times.
