Really good park with a sand pit and boat also there is a new cafe with a toilet you can use a basketball court, exercise equipment, even doggy park bit! Lots of space a huge circular path to walk round lots of field in between! People walk dogs kids ect food is cheap great value in the cafe!!!

Used to come here a lot as a kid to play football. Nice big park, loads of space. Does get used by dog walkers as a toilet for their dogs however

Playing field, good play area for kids, running path round the outside, basketball court, café, bowls. Plenty to do, just be careful as some dog owners aren''t as good as others when it comes to cleaning up after their pet, and there are a lot of dog walkers here.
Also, there's a new car park, you won't believe it but it's pay and display. Just park on the road where it's free.
Playing field, good play area for kids, running path round the outside, basketball court, café, bowls. Plenty to do, just be careful as some dog owners aren''t as good as others when it comes to cleaning up after their pet, and there are a lot of dog walkers here.
Also, there's a new car park, you won't believe it but it's pay and display. Just park on the road where it's free.

Small cafe - well run by volunteers. Basketball courts, outside gym, enclosed park for the younger children (with small sand pit & zipline) :D bowling greens and social club. Football posts on large green. Great for joggers and dog walkers alike. The only thing I would say is that the community garden is lacking the care and attention it once had. And they now charge for parking!! Why? Also council could do with putting BACK the bins they took out and the ones they do have could defiantly do with emptying more often!!

The rec is a lovely place that I have visited since childhood (many, many years ago!). It is a large open space, with football pitches, basketball courts, childrens playground, adult outdoor gym and a dog agility area. It is clean and well maintained. There is also a cafe in the old tennis pavilion, run by a local charity. I love to take my daughter over to ride her bike and then I have a sit down and a coffee while she plays in the playground. I have used the Rec in the early evenings to sit and read while my daughter is at her Rainbows meeting close by. The rec is a real asset for this side of town.
