We arrived when the restaurant was really quiet. Since ordering and the place filled up. We waited 45 minutes to get a pizza, a burger and some kids chicken nuggets. I then had to wait in a line twice that was the length of the building just to get chips and veg for to go with my meal. The same line that was for the carvery. By this time the burger and nuggets went cold. Not a good way of serving food at all. Very disappointed and won't be returning.

A really good place to eat. Friendly and helpful staff and good food. Sundays are busy as expected.
We are always happy with the food and have never had a bad meal. Easy parking and outside seating and playing area.

Thought we would try the carvery at the Tollgate. Wednesday lunchtime so not too busy. The meat was a little dry but the vegetables were lovely and fresh. There were peas (single and mushy) which was nice as not many places do peas. It has been renovated to a high standard. Will definitely be back

Visited the Tollgate on recommendation and was not dissapointed. Both my Wife and myself both enjoyed our meal and the beer was kept well.
We would like to thank the assistant Manager Craig Russell for all his efforts.

Could do with a light above the sauces, other than that, I couldn't fault it. Good was Good, reasonable selection and a great price. Added bonus of a loyalty card too. I suggested it an a survey a while back., nice to see it in place. Will definitely call in again.
