I needed a van with very short notice and managed to get a great deal with Midland van hire in Derby. Excellent service, minibus van was in excellent condition and they have a range of vehicles for hire if i ever needed in the future. Definitely recommended. Great value for money.

I recently moved houses from normanton to Derby city centre. I used midland van hire for the first time. They provided me with good customer service and the LWB transit was value for money. In the past Iv used enterprise and I must they overcharge their customers. Thank you midland van hire derby.

Hired a big box van with the lift on the back, was planning to take the whole weekend moving house but this van with tail lift made life so much easier we got it all done by saturday evening and got to enjoy the weekend too. Customer service was really good, staff are very humble and polite/friendly. Would recommend Midland Van Hire to everyone as they are very reasonably priced and get the job done. Thank you very much for all your help.

I went to Midland Van Hire to hire a Van for the day recently. Firstly I couldn't even find the offices as the premises is a car wash and no signs for where the business is. When I did find the offices the member of staff I dealt with was never rude but was un-friendly and cold with no inclination of wanting to treat the customer well.
These initial problems can all be excused because things got worse when I finally got the Van.
The van's overal condition was terrible; there was rust and dints everywhere. Inside was filthy and there was unclean bankets (rags) to sit on as to keep the seats 'clean'. when I removed the rags the seats where covered in cigarette burns.
Things got worse still when I drove the Van, the breaks didn't feel safe and it kept slipping out of gear. Midland Van Hire had barely left any fuel in the tank and I literally just made it to a petrol station in time.
Here things got really worse. When locating to the fuel cap I noticed that both back tires were BOLD. One may have been poor but the passenger side tire was sleek with zero tread. I immediately took the van back where I pointed out the tires and the owner tried to tell me 'these are boarder line, and will be ok' when I protested his arrogance and ignorance, he agreed to change the tire, but it will take an hour, or I could have another Van, but the doors didn't work properly on.
I promptly requested my money back and left.
My advise would be to never use this company. If I was pulled over with this van, it would have been points on my license and a fine. Or it could have been a blow-out on the motor way and could have killed me. I will be going to Citizens Advise about them.
There is a temptation to use these as they are open on the weekends while the major hire companies aren't. But they are not worth the risk.

i wanted to hire a long wheel based transit van from midland van hire in littleover derby, i wasnt happy because they are very busy but they gave me a mercedes sprinter instead. got the job done in the end, brand new fleet, they are pretty cheap compare to atwal vans. their vans are old and dodgy. thank you midland van hire for your support.
