i find the review made 5 months ago very odd. this person stated he'd been unfotunate enough to be in during a sunday afternoon karaoke.............there have been no karaokes on a sunday or any other day for over 3 years!!! the lounge where entertainment was held OVER 3 YEARS AGO is now a place where older couples enjoy a quiet drink every day of the week.unfortunately this area of edinburgh(like many others) has more than its share of drug users and dealers, however, like every other member of the gracemount pubwatch scheme, the waverley has asked for and received the wholehearted support of the local police, the licensing police and the assigned LSO's for this area in tackling this problem and will continue to do so.the majority of customers who drink in this pub on a regular basis are salt of the earth types who, like the members of staff,would not hesitate to offer help to anyone who needs it.they raise a LOT of money for local charities,including the marie curie, edinburgh,raise funds for youngsters football strips etc, willingly contribute to st catherines fund raising, local pensioners are well cared for etc etc.....write a review by all means, but perhaps it would hold more water if it was up to date and relevant.
