I visit this shop a lot and often find a bargain. Great choice of books. I also recently donated a lot of mixed items to them. Ritchie handled the details of the pick up beautifully, giving me a time slot that suited my tight schedule. The van guy Gerry was extremely polite & helpful making several trips up 2 flights of stairs and taking the items down in a speedy & efficient way. I was happy to donate to such a great & important charity & was impressed by the efficient & professional way it was all handled. Well done guys.

Went into to buy some vinyl; I changed my mind within a couple of minutes , and simply asked for an exchange over a £1.49 purchase !!!!!
The way the staff reacted you would think I had been asking for a refund on the crown jewels. A big burly lad come over and started getting in my space three big men had to handle the transaction . Big man - no1(burly) checked the album over and remained like a bad smell hovering over me like a jail warder . I then asked if they could just take off the refund balance and apply it to the new purchase , another guy with glasses could not communicate the shop policy well so again the big man had to cut in.
What made matters worse is another customer who came after got served before they completed my transaction , the old man had appalling people skills when I originally asked him for a look at the albums he blanked me and another man had to take over. No wonder they need so many volunteers on a Sunday morning!!!!! If certain staff members treat honest customers as dodgy perhaps its their own past form that is the source of fuel. As this is the charity shop industry; Thats highly probable.
I reckon the people working here would not get a job outside of the blooming exploitative volunteer/charity shop industry which is replacing real retail jobs like a spreading disease on the British High street.
Charity shops(before they dominated the high streets in numbers ) used to be staffed by genuine do gooders and there was a more friendly sedate atmosphere not any more.
An utter disgrace to the high street of 2017.

some rude staff especially the lancastrain lady who acted like a manager.
really have no manners and no niceties even for people buying stuff.
Our high streets are clogged up with charity shops instead of real shops
thats bad enough but that they cant even invest in more friendly and pleasant staff makes it worse and the future of the high street more depressing.
Alo BHF are a disgrace for using forced workers through the work program in 2011.
