Always excellent food and attentive staff. A family and friends favourite for Chinese food in Edinburgh. Probably the best Chinese I've had in the city.

The restaurant itself was very nice and comfortable. Food was some of the best I've ever had, and I have had plenty of authentic Chinese food before. Our server, Jules, was beyond helpful and friendly. If we could stay in Edinburgh longer, this would absolutely be a common stop.

Karen's Unicorn is just a wonderful gem in the world of Chinese restaurants. Delicious and authentic Chinese food; and at such a reasonable price. The food is the best - best Chinese cuisine I have ever been served, and I consider myself a bit of a (Scottish) expert.
Can highly recommend the Won Ton soup - home made won tons - have travelled a lot and these won tons are the best I've ever tasted. And the Singapore noodles which followed were equally delicious.
Service too was without a fault; I arrived late for lunch on my own, but was extended every courtesy and encouraged to take my time over my meal - even though I was the last person in the restaurant. Definitely would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant to my friends.
However, I would not want Karen's Unicorn to become so popular that I can't get a table next time!!! Seriously.!!!
