I know I'm a minority among locals (especially younger ones) but I just don't love this place - you'll find service and staff here sufficient but it lacks a lot of class and love that you'll find elsewhere nearby - fair enough they show a lot of sport but that's hardly unique. Rated 3/5 as it's average despite my own misgivings - sorry just not for me.

This was by far the most lively place we visited over 4 nights. Music and atmosphere top notch.

Depending on the time of day - or night - Great staff during the day and the food was excellent. During the night its usually a packed house but don't let that discourage you from checking it out. Younger crowd but worth a visit

Lovely feeling of community in this pub.
There is a wide range of drinks and food, and a lot of places to sit.
I would recommend it to everyone that is looking for a place to socialize and get a feel of the locals' Edinburgh.

A little on the expensive side, especially for a student place but it has a good atmosphere. Great selection of shows during the for general and good for watching sports. I've been here for a couple of pubs quizzes and it is nice that they have some specialised ones (Dragon ball quiz is my all time favourite)
