It's a low key beach cafe run by French people. The coffee and cakes are really good. The reason I say that it's only ok is because it looks a bit ramshackle. It would be a really cool place to visit if it was redecorated! Then I would say it was very good.

Old fashioned. Coffee was OK. The toasted sandwich I saw looked a little dull, not very enticing, with crisps thrown onto the plate as an afterthought. Didn't look at the cakes. Dogs allowed, which is a plus. Seems popular

Made a couple of visits to this lovely coffee shop through an afternoon at Portobello beach.
Very comfortable and friendly. Will be recommending and visiting again.
