My wife and I were treated badly by the manager (Callum) who was aggressive, confrontational and completely unprofessional. I pointed out an issue with the lack of detail in 2 for 1 advertising, and was subjected to an aggressive confrontation. When I paid, and tried to leave with my wife, he came back and started confronting me again. At which point my wife, utterly shocked, asked him how he dare speak to customers like that. At which point he finally backed off. Not the kind of environment I would expect for an evening meal in a Byers Road restaurant. Very unprofessional. Highly disappointed.

Excellent food and drinks. The decor is amazing. Easily the best Asian restaurant on Byres Road, we will be back for sure

We wanted to use the 2 for 1 promo for students, and at first the waiter said that it's fine and explained which dishes we can choose from, but then they didn't add that to the bill. We reminded them that we agreed on the deal and only afterwards the waiter asked us about student IDs. My friend showed her, and I realized that I haven't taken mine. He said that we need two student IDs (we didn't know that before!) eventually said that I can log to my university website, but I said I'm a polish student and it won't be helpful . He said it works for UK students only. Anyway, the terms are up to the restaurant to make, but we should have been informed about that earlier. The customer service was terrible anyway, I hope that you will train your waiters better, because it spoils all the experience of going to your, otherwise quite nice, restaurant.

Went to Bar Soba west end to celebrate my brother's 30th birthday. The food was great, staff attentive and the cocktails were to die for!!! Going back tonight before the Texas gig at the bandstand so bring on those fabulous cocktails!!!!

The recent renovation is lovely, as is the smaller menu - Which still packs a lot of variety. The buns and duck leg curry are amazing. All the staff had great banter - Can't wait to see the new cocktail menu!
