I was looking for a sofa and i went to all the usual suspects (dfs,harveys) and so on and i could not find a sofa at the price that i wanted eg all the added extras pushed up the price and a sofa that i found at dfs was an ex display model.
So we went to oak furniture land and i found the ideal sofa which had all the specs that i wanted
1) Leather
2) Reasonable Price
3) Hard Wearing
The sofa we chose at OFL was the brody and our salesman was Ash and he had a passion for the job and customers and also we had lots of questions and he had answered them clearly and effectively and he gave us time to think and decide.
When we decided he gave us a lot of extras that we were happy with such as
1) 5 year cover
2) Leather care kit
3) Felt pads
So all in all we were very happy with Ash and OFL and the service we recieved.

Well this was pretty shambolic from the time I placed the order with Oak Furnitureland at the Fosse Park store.
When I placed the order I was led to what I presume was the order desk which was directly under a speaker playing loud music. After a battle of 5 minutes with the the music while trying to discuss my order I asked if the music could be turned down so I could hear what the sales assistant was saying & he could hear what I was saying. Who on earth had the idea to put this desk directly under a speaker?
I paid £39 to choose a specific day of delivery, on the invoice it says you will receive a message the day before delivery. Wrong no message so no helpfull window to be prepared for either. I rang the customer service & was told by a rather officious phone operative that they could not ring me the day before as I did not give my mobile number!!! Duhhh, they had my landline number but apparently they don't ring landlines & leave messages!!!!
Anyway I was given the time slot of 1.30 - 4.30. At 4.37 I received a phone call ON MY LANDLINE from Oak Furnitureland saying they would be late, 5.30. I have paid for chosen delivery with other companies & never had any problems. So was the £39 worth it? No they failed to notify me the day before of my time slot & even then nearly 10 minutes after time slot finishing they suddenly realised they would not be there 10 minutes ago!!!

Just received today damaged sofa and broken clock. All the cushions was so dirty so instead of enjoying my new sofa I had to put all the covers in the washing machine. On the top of that this is the first store which leaving you to unpack and set up everything and u have to get rid of the cardboard and plastics and all the rubbish. Very disappointed. Spent 2.500£ for damaged items. All day I was waiting for a call but customer service just give me a call to ask me for some photos of the damages and that's it.....
