Horrible experience food was reheated, staffing was terrible, even though staff were very helpful and polite but not enough. Pub dated, dirty and abit unhygienic if I'm honest

Reasonable prices and food was good - just a little bit of an excessive wait when busy.

Shocking service ran out of chicken and beef on the Sunday carvery. Wasn't given an alternative even though the half chicken was an option. Ordered the large carvery was we wanted the large Yorkshire pudding. Were not informed that the large Yorkshire puddings were at available. At this point the restaurant side was empty however we waited over half an hour for are desserts to arrive. I did enquire after 20 minutes to be told by a staff member that they had just seen them getting made up. 15 minutes later and still waiting. How difficult it is to make 3 desserts in an empty restaurant. Wouldn't recommend for Sunday roast

Carvery is typical of most others, slices of meat so thin they're nearly transparent and the usual veg and condiments provided. This is a large pub and the staff struggle (being generous as don't bother might be more appropriate) to keep it clean. It is always busy and on a Sunday is guaranteed to have more kids in it than the local school does on a Monday morning. Although it's been done up recently it's cheap, rough and reflects the clientele.
