Historic, rustic, warm and cozy are words to come mind. Situated at the Albert docks with view across old locks. Good selection of beers. Delicious burger. Friendly and prompt service. On the funny side, watch out for the piratical pigeons insisting on sharing your meal if you are seated outside. Nice place. I returned to several times before my trip was over.

Staff are very friendly and attentive. Food was fab and excellent value for money. Easily the best place we've eaten in Liverpool. Will definitely recommend and come back again.

I would give 0 stars if I could! Pre booked a table for 2 which had to be cleaned in front of us on arrival. Ordered 2 starters and 2 mains which were brought out all together, don't know bout anyone else but usually you eat your starters then they bring the mains out when finished. The website made the food look amazing but it was an absolute disappointment!

To give it one star would be too much. Pre booked a table for a party of 13, but when I turned up, my booking had disappeared, even though I'd checked by phone two hours before. We were shown to our tables - not together. Food was ordered. Cutlery arrived, but not enough sets. Salad was limp and brown tinged, cod was tasteless and batter was soggy, hunters chicken was tiny and lemon chicken was plain and dry. We didn't stay for desert. Complained and was listened to, but will not be going again.
