Grat place with very nice and unique vibe. Good selection of cocktails and food... food is unbelievable. Highly recommended.

Went for the punk tea for a friend's birthday. It's a great concept but it needs some work. Whilst the staff were lovely and friendly and i like the venue the food just wasn't good. It was over salted and under cooked and not a well thought out combination. Personally i would prefer less food better prepared and i would either stick to the savouries and make them really good or i would bring cakes and savouries separately. It just didn't quite work for me as it stands.

Glorified party food- the Punk Tea just isn't worth £20 a head for a soy sauce drenched chicken wing and some Haribo.
The place has aimed for "shabby chic" and landed in "boot-sale stall" with its decorating too.
Not for me.

Our first visit to the The Baltic Social was to take part in Day 1 of the "Pint of Science" Event. A Good choice of beers, food looked good (to be fair we didn't eat there) and the staff were friendly. For an event like this, the sound system was poor at its best and, the restrooms far from pleasant. Two out of the three presentations were engaging and well presented. Overall an enjoyable night.

Staff are friendly and welcoming and the bar offers a decent selection of craft beers. Expect a mismatch of chairs, it's that sort of place.
We've eaten here twice and the food is OK. Good portions and not too expensive. Decent Pub-grub is probably the best way to describe it.
We've also tried the Bottomless Brunch which is good fun. It's basically a two hour platter of all English breakfast favourites, along with a board of pastries and an unlimited amount of beer and prosecco.
