Nice area to sit by the canal or watch your dog play, looks like its seen better days, and could do with a bit of sprucing up.

Its a nice and quiet little park, great for walking a dog as it is fenced all around

Canalside Park is a great destination if you walk from Pier Head. We came along the dock road, through Stanley Dock, then crossed Great Howard Street to a tiny door way. Through this door lies a set of beautiful locks which lead up to the park. Narrow boats work there way through these locks on their journey from Leeds to Liverpool. On the way back into town its worth stopping at the Titanic Hotel for a drink and a bite to eat.
