A genuinely Italian restaurant, very recognizably Italian and not just Italian-by-numbers. Authentic pizza from a stoneware oven, although disappointingly fired by gas and not wood. At any rate good pizza and a real Liverpool institution; we first dined here over 8 years ago and it's still very much the same.

The food was fine but nothing exceptional. For the price and the reputation I was expecting a bit more, the bruschetta was especially disappointing. We also felt as though we were being rushed by the waiter to finish our meal and leave, because we didn't order anything particularly expensive.

Food was okay - I was personally expecting more from this restaurant that I'd heard so much about. Service was hit and miss, some staff were exceptional but others were quite uninterested.
The food here is also very expensive in comparison to its high street chain alternatives
The pros however:
Ideal city centre location
Huge selection of cocktails
Patisserie cabinet is to die for
