We booked a "superior" double room at My Chelsea which we paid £179 for including breakfast.
The room turned out to be tiny with a 1.2 meter wide bed. The bathroom looked nice but the huge shower head was pointless as there was no water pressure. The kettle was dirty and when I tried to ask for another one I found that the phone didn't work. After complaining about this and returning to our room I then found out that the TV didn't work either.
The hotel didn't have another room for us and refused any kind of compensation.
Breakfast was ridiculously expensive at £15 per head for a very basic continental breakfast.
Everyone who came down that morning to breakfast seemed to have a complaint about something.

Walking distance, about 7 minutes, from the South Kensington station. Pleasant & professional staffs. Very clean room with full size bed, amenities, safe, mini bar & fridge. Bath robe & slippers were a plus. Would definitely stay again.

A darling hotel, comfortable and warm. The staff must have superb management because every hotel member that we encountered was kind and gracious.

We didn't have a good start and it didn't get really much better. We arrived in the middle of construction works at the entrance and the restaurant and had to enter at the side, where we were ignored fir a while, possibly because we dressed in "Berlin-casual" which must have raised the impression we were homeless people when compared to the other guests who wore only the finest garments. The receptionist then had trouble finding the booked position in the system and confirming that the stay was already been paid for. I was asked to sign a receipt later since the printer was broken. The next day we were told, breakfast was not included and my card would be charged with it. I had to present the receipt by my travel agency to prove that the booking clearly said "bed & breakfast." For the rest of the visit I asked myself, what else went wring with the booking. On the positive side: The room was clean, tidy, tasteful and simple. Shades or a curtain in the restroom would have provided some privacy, but maybe the British like to be watched while on the toilet, who knows? Lightbulb of the left bedside lamp was broken, and subtitles of the TV could not be switched off. Didn't bother to call the front desk due to the unpleasant experience earlier. When checking out, we were not asked if their were any issues, if we enjoyed our stay or even thanked for our visit. That's why I voice my opinion here, and not at the front desk of the hotel.

Great location. So eco and healthy in everything they do from toiletries to food choices. Nice breakfast and delicious coffee. Great hotel and room design. Very helpful and friendly staff. They're currently renovating so I expect that it will become even better.
