Worst dining experience I've ever had in my life. It's really dirty there, the staff is rude and the service a nightmare.
The server got angry at us for no apparent reason, he then told us in a snarky tone that if we didn't intend to order anything to eat then we weren't welcome there.
It then took them close to 40 minutes just to get the drinks we ordered, at that point the beer and soda were warm and had lost most of its carbonation. When we asked for them to replace the drinks the server only shrugged at us and turned to some other customers.
We then had to wait another 25 minutes until the food came, not only that but it was cold food that we hadn't even ordered.
At that point we tried to get in touch with the server with no luck. He ignored us completely. We got up and went and paid for the two warm drinks that we got at the bar.
Never again.

I went for the bar and oysters, not the hotel. The place is a little rough and service is cool and relaxed. Oyster are big and amazing!!
5 stars for the oysters and white wine but only 2 for the place.

Great pub with some cool nooks and crannies to hide away in.
The roast is really good ad the staff really friendly

It's a cool place in one of the coolest streets of London. I guess that it's a good choice if are passing by and you want to enjoy a couple of beers with friends in a cosy and relaxed environment.

Now days it seems to be frequented by drunks, tramps and biffa's. Pretty grubby place and smells as soon as you walk in. Needs serious decoration. Beer pretty cheap though and staff good fun and helpful.
Update: Pub now has been sold and will shut in June sometime. It will apparently be turned into a Greek restaurant.
