Birthday Treat lunch here followed by the Globe!
The food was excellent as was the wine, with food service. Add the views and it is a great place to visit.

I proposed in this restaurant last night and the whole team was very accommodating and made the experience an unforgettable one. The food and wine are outstanding and the views to the Thames and St Pauls cathedral are fantastic. Thank you to the whole team and see you soon.

Have enjoyed small bites here before. This time I ordered a rather expensive brownie. I thought the price might indicate the amount of brownie served, but sadly I was served a rather small portion and it wasn't warm, making the ice cream it came with redundant. It was very disappointing. I didn't complain (although, no one asked if I had enjoyed the dessert), but when the waiter brought me change after paying the bill, they were 2p short, and they didn't even make mention of it. 2p is not massive in the grand scheme of things, but when you whack on service charge on an underwhelming meal, and then shortchange me?!?!?!?!
I won't be coming here again.

Nice wine, nice environment but extremely slow service. Previous meals here have been lovely but Sunday lunch today a great disappointment. Tiny starter - not good value for money. Roast lamb with no flavour, the most watery mint sauce I have seen and roast potatoes tasted like they had been frozen and reheated. Not pleasant. Had to wait so long between courses that ran out of time to have Coffee. What a letdown for somewhere I though was safe to take friends. Pudding ok. Overall not far off what I can have at the local pub for significantly less money. Sadly not worth the special trip today.
