Nice pub with several big tv screens. Burgers and beers are quite good, the dishes are decent. Had to wait a bit too long at the cash register, though the overall service was good.

Traditional lay out for this pub made more interesting by the fact it is under the rail tracks. Good point is their Meantime beer offered directly from the tank instead of the kegs providing much better quality and freshness. A few cask ales but not a very precious collection.

Firstly, the waitress who seemed to have an existential crisis informed us that none of our first choices were available. I was surprised she even managed to put our order in, considering her lack of will to live and her complete lack of interest in serving us.
The food we ordered was so average. I had the cottage pie. The taste wasn't far off from a microwaved one. My friend had nachos and he said it was the worse nachos he ever had. He also ordered the super salad side order. It was the most un-super salad I have ever seen. About 3 beans, some cucumber, lettuce, onions and green peppers.
My other friend ordered a cheese and bacon burger with an extra patty. We were nibbling on the fries and dipping into the mayo when I pointed out there was a single patty. We got the waiter's attention and he came back later with a burger with two patties. He took the old burger with the partially eaten fries straight outside to another customer. Shock and awe.
The sweet potato fries were nice.

Nice pub with good selection of beers.
Had not been there for at least a decade and went back just last weekend. good outdoor area with loads of tables.
One big change since I last went there was a club in the pub for drag people and related and many of its clientele were very flamboyant. Certainly therefore not for the strait-laced reactionaries
