Used to be a good local pub, now just part of a 2,000+ pub chain, with no inventiveness and run like a factory, with service to match.

Maybe avoid late Sunday roast - beef like leather and tough dry potatoes. Waiters response to disapproval was similarly "tough". Shame otherwise had good times here

Cosy pub with a great atmosphere. Bar staff ate friendly and helpful. Are able to reserve areas no problem and the choice of booze is pretty good.

We rocked up on a Sunday for lunch after being thoroughly disappointed with the Westbourne. The manager, Andy, knew who we were straight away and got us sent to our table immediately, although we only just booked on phone with him and had never been before. There was a great vibe and atmosphere with it being quite busy but not so busy you couldn't chat. Service was fantastic and our waitress Shani was so attentive and smiley. The food was delicious. Overall 5* Sunday afternoon; just how a Sunday pub should be-great food service and ambience. Will definitely be returning!

Haven't been here for a couple of years, until yesterday. Their service has gone down hill. It is supposed to be table service, we had to call the staff over several times. First was to order then for drinks, then for then for the bill and to also pay the bill. The food was ok, but nothing amazing. Will go again to see if they were just having an off day, but very disappointed. I used to really like this place.
