Very nice hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful but the lift stopped working and only a small one was working.

Went to the Dukes for Tea with some family. The setting is lovely and we were seated in a cosy corner. Unfortunately we received very poor service from the staff. The tea was poured as soon as it arrived from the kitchen allowing it bo time to brew, the lady offered to pour milk and proceeded to drown the already weak tea, we asked for water which took about 1/2 an hour to arrive and we had to ask for the jam and clotted cream which was supposed to arrive with our food. The food itself was nice but nothing special.

Always excellent service, despite a 10 minute wait. The setting is very peaceful, warm and welcoming. Cocktails are well made and orders not listed on the menu are produced without question (eg Moscow Mule). Complimentary roasted nuts, olives and some kind of baked cheese biscuits are provided and replaced during. Service is optional and charged by default at 12.5%.

We stayed here for 3 days in September on a short break. The Hotel is excellently located in a prime spot, yet away from the traffic in a quiet side road. The staff are very friendly and uber professional. A high quality hotel. Cocktail bar is worth a visit on it's own, but it's not cheap!
