Formerly 'The Hotel Russel' attributed to Charles Fitzroy-Doll ('all dolled up') and completed in the late 19th.Century. An elaborate confection clad in terra-cotta with decorative statues, busts and coats-of-arms. Recently refurbished ; an impressive and distinguished resident on this historic square.

A lovely hotel, only a hop skip and a jump away from the subway and many of London's treasures. The breakfast should keep you nice and full for a good chunk of the day :)n+ the staff are nice and helpful

Old fashioned luxurious entrance, & beautifully decorated rooms to match.
Having only just found this place, i now am worried someone calling themselves a designer is going to ruin this beautiful hotel,out of all proportion & recognition!!!!
I hope not it had a unique character
