Nice place, didn't like the food maybe cause of my Indian pallet. Lots of Shopping and places to visit nearby,strict policies. Easy to notice from a moving vehicle, nice cozy rooms though had an experience where in the middle of the night someone started screaming something about a robber. Overall definitely a four star experience out of five

The location of the Strand Palace Hotel is excellent, and rooms are reasonably priced for a central London hotel. The rooms themselves are clean, comfortable and adequately furnished. My only negative point is that they've recently had new linen and the towels are shedding fluff a little.

Room size was okay for me and I am glad it had a proper wardrobe! The room is clean, bathroom clean (with a funny vibrating noise when you turn on the shower) and the location excellent - close to Trafalgar Square, theatres, shopping, bars and restaurants. The bus stop is right opposite the hotel, which is convenient if you have luggage you don't want to lift on the tube stations with stairs only. The food was great too and they let me check in earlier without having to pay extra. They served exactly the same breakfast for the 7 days I was there!

We had a lovely stay in this hotel for our 20th anniversary. The hotel was very well located. The room well appointed, although small and the windows could not be opened during some improvement works they had ongoing. Breakfast was fine (but we had to queue). We attended the comedy club that happened to be held there on our second night. Very convenient for so much of London.

I would rename this hotel as "small print palace". The vouchers and "palace pounds" we received did not go a long way. It's all about the small print! Read it and weep! I stayed with my wife in one room but only one of us could use a voucher in a restaurant making the other voucher useless. Food in the restaurant was okay in the but the staff failed to inform us about a significant number of items on the menu that were unavailable which is a disappointment for any respectable restaurant. They also failed to suggest the best way to use the vouchers which left a bitter aftertaste of otherwise good house wine that was supposed to be free but wasn't in the end. Room was clean, though fairly basic for the price. Good location of the hotel was a big plus. I will try another hotel next time.
