Independent James, and Oliver in particular, were really helpful in guiding us through the mortgage process for our first purchase. Despite the complexities introduced by one of us working freelance, they found us a really great deal with a provider they knew would be happy to lend to us. They handled all the paperwork, application process and kept us informed every step of the way.
You do have to pay for their services, but in our case the cost was worth it for the absolute lack of friction which our mortgage application process had.

Professional but friendly, get the best deals. What more could you want? James and the whole team are very knowledgeable and helpful. Cannot fault any part of their service. If I could give six stars I would. PS - James is no relation!

James and the team were helpful, responsive and friendly throughout my flat purchase. I'd strongly recommend them to anyone - especially first-time buyers looking for hand-holding through the experience!

Great service by Oliver, Ryan and all the team. I have used Independent James for over 10 years and wouldn't go anywhere else. They always provide first class advice and assist you in making the best financial choices.

I had absolutely great service from Oliver and james . They were friendly and knowledgeable and also honest as told me it might not be easy to get the mortgage due to my circumstances, James was reassuring through out the process and then once accepted I was passed to Oliver who was case manager, again, friendly and helpful and wasn't scared to admit he didn't know the answer to one of my questions and referred the question back to James . I have a two year fixed term but you will definitely be hearing from me to review my mortgage again. I was quite stressed about my financial situation and both of these were reassuring throughout. Thanks again
