This is a very lovely musuem and garden. The exhibits are well organized and the grounds are well kept. I highly recommend checking it out!

It's a really nice museum showing how house build changed along the time. It has the rooms showing how was a dining room in the 18th century, for example. Also showing more recent times as 60's. It worth the visit and it's free.

Beautiful historic building with plenty to see .
Lovely gardens and interior rooms are magnificently well kept.
Cafe serves lovely food although very pricey so many people bring picnics to enjoy out on the front lawn.
Also run fantastic free holiday activities for children and families

Beautiful, well-maintained gardens situated behind the Geffrye Museum. There's plenty of information around too: plant names, notes on planting styles, etc. And the herb garden is a dream, it's got a couple of benches and is tucked away in a corner. Sitting there taking in the smell of the herbs is a fantastically relaxing experience and let's you completely forget about the hustle and bustle (and the smoggy air) out on the street. This is the place to go if you find yourself in need of a bit of tranquility in Shoreditch. And together with the museum itself it's well worth a visit even if you come from a bit farther.
