Last week we visited Kensington palace and it was the worst thing we saw in London. We travelled with two children so we paid a family ticket, but I must say that the visit was a really robbery!!!! Nothing really interesting to see.. Two stupid actors saying stupid things about a sleeping princess and a sort of children game to find the princesses' names in the palace. We realise that the palace is under refurbishment, but the entrance fee should be fair... Moreover we were informed too late that the dress collection had been moved somewhere else in the country. Note that the dress collection is a great attraction and a good reason for visiting the palace. For these reasons we won't suggest to visit the palace, otherwise it is free.

My wife and I was looking forward to visiting Kensington Palace but to say we were extremely disappointed is an understatement and would not give this attraction a star rating.
I enquired how long the tour would last and was informed 60 to 90 minutes it actually took 20 minutes and that was taking our time.
The entrance fee of £25 was absurd for the few rooms that were open which lacked furniture and were poorly lit and no historical information.
There were two actors in very strange costumes wandering around speaking to each other about who knows what.
Yes the palace is under refurbishment but the entrance price should reflect this.
I would not recommend this visit to anyone as I felt like asking for my money back

There's very little content, even for those wanting to worship at the Shrine of Diana, and what is there is not very well explained or presented - the paintings in particular are very badly lit, almost unviewable in fact. Hampton Court is (just) worth the 15 quid they charge to get in, Kensington at 12.50 is a complete rip off by comparison.
