A fantastic resource and respite hidden in the middle of Bethnal Green. The team behind this medicinal nature reserve are very knowledgeable and friendly.

Beautiful surroundings, interesting workshops - the day I went we learned about bat behaviour and built bat boxes, then there was a botanical sketching class in the afternoon. An amazing project and a great opportunity to meet environmentally conscious, artistic people who are passionate about keeping London green. The herbal medicine field is fascinating, the staff are well informed and there's also a mini-library. The site is child-friendly, so the only downside is that the weather conditions could make or break the day, and there are currently no toilets on-site - so make that potty trip before you arrive!
