It was my first visit here. What a great find the food was first class and of a very high quality. The staff members were very friendly. I will definitely be going back again to try the rest of the menu.

Really friendly experience, they managed to squeeze us in even though they were very busy. The staff were lovely and the atmosphere was great, good music playing and good drink selection. The best part was the food though. Hands down one of the best meals I've had out. The flavours are amazing and the portions are really hearty. Amazing time, we'll be going back often!

Amazing small restaurant / cafe, with a cool laid back atmosphere and delicious Jamaican food. Recommend the big 'hench' plate with goats curry and jerk chicken for a good taste of everything. Already looking forward to going back

Truly excellent Carribbean food and at a decent price.
The food really sets The Drop against the competition on this bustling little strip, which whilst lively is let down by average food. The Drop and Double 00 are the exceptions and they excel where the others are not able too.
The curried goat and lamb chops were the standout dishes for me and they managed to pack an intense and flavoursome taste at the perfect spice level. Sides of coconut rice and dumplings were delicious and all served with a smile and in a very relaxed atmosphere.

At my last visit, they'd given the table we booked away just before we arrived and we had to stand waiting for 25 mins before we got a table. They didn't bother to wipe the table down, so it was all sticky from the previous diners. It also took over an hour between arriving and getting our drinks!
The food arrived quite promptly after ordering although was missing some rice, which we had to go back to the bar to tell them about. Each of the dishes was fantastic with amazing flavours - really tasty, good sized portions and great value for money. If only the service could match the food.
Overall, it seems to me that it's a victim of it's success. It's always busy and they can't be bothered with getting the service right. It's not just being slow, it's the lack of attention to detail, poor communication with customers and they seem happy for tables and menus to remain sticky.
They've been open for a couple of years now and still don't accept card payment. More worryingly, since March 2017, they've had a 0 out of 5 hygiene rating.
