We were disappointed by a recent trip here for a meal with friends. Whilst the front of house staff made a great effort there were clearly problems in the kitchen due to the chef not having ordered enough food. Portions were small, so small they came with an apology and an offer of extra side dishes free of charge. As we had vegetarians in our group this didn't work. However the manager did come to see us to apologise and offer a round of drinks (we were driving), complimentary desserts and a very large discount on the bill, which shows they can recognise and deal with an issue. That aside, the Parlour is a stylish place with good beer, plenty of Chorlton hipsters and a decent if rather loud atmosphere.

The best roast dinner I've had for a long time. 😀 Been trying to get in for aSunday roast for a while but always busy, which is a good sign! The staff were so attentive and friendly. We will definately be back soon!

Really enjoyed Sunday Lunch here. I had soft shell crab to start, it was beautifully presented and was the nicest soft shell crab i have had. The roast beef dinner was cooked to perfection, the roast potatoes were perfect and the green veg steamed very nicely.
